What Is an InDown Alternative for Instagram Carousels?
DownSta is a free InDown alternative for public Instagram photos, videos and carousels. Both offer a browser workflow without asking for your Instagram login. If you are saving a multi-item post, DownSta lets you review the returned photos and videos before choosing individual files or Download all.

What makes DownSta worth trying?
If you only want one video, InDown and DownSta offer a similar starting point: copy the Instagram link and paste it into a browser form. There is no installation advantage to claim here, because both websites already work without an app.
DownSta is useful when you want to choose among the items in a post. You can look through the returned media, pick an individual photo or video and choose an available quality. If you want the whole returned set, use Download all.
InDown's page describes its video download process and lists other Instagram content types. This comparison covers that published browser workflow; the carousel instructions below explain what you can do in DownSta.
Saving a carousel with DownSta
You need one link for the carousel, not a different profile link for every slide. Open the post in Instagram, copy its link and paste it into DownSta. Press Download to load the media.
Suppose the post contains three photos followed by a video. Review those four items and decide what you want to keep. You can save the three photos individually, choose the video alone or use the bulk option for the returned set.
Bulk downloads arrive as separate files, not a ZIP. Your browser may ask whether to allow several downloads from the site. If it saves only one file, check the download list and any prompt before submitting the post again. The full carousel guide includes more detail.
Which one should you choose?
Keep using InDown if its video workflow already suits you. Try DownSta if you prefer to review a post's media together and choose which returned items to save. For one Reel, use the same original Instagram link when trying either service.
If the real goal is to save a current Story or a Highlight, use our dedicated Stories and Highlights guides. Those links identify different media from a normal carousel post.
