How Do I Save Every Item in an Instagram Carousel?
A carousel puts several photos or videos behind one post link. Submit that single link, compare the returned items with the post, then save individual files or choose Download all. Keep the item positions so photos and videos stay in the intended sequence.

1. Copy one post link
Open the carousel itself and copy its link from the share menu or browser address bar. Use its /p/ address, not the account’s profile URL. One carousel link identifies the set; you do not need to submit a new link for every slide.
2. Count and inspect the returned items
Compare the number of results with the carousel you are authorized to save. Read each item’s type: a set may contain both images and videos. A video may use a still preview, so rely on its Video label and offered file format as well as the thumbnail. Item-specific sizes can differ within the same post.
3. Save separately or together
For a few slides, choose each item’s quality and Download button. For the returned set, use Download all. DownSta prepares separate files; this action does not create a ZIP. If your browser asks to allow multiple downloads, read the prompt and choose whether to permit them for downsta.app.
4. Check order, size and completeness
Keep the numbered filenames and compare the saved file count with the results. The service’s configured maximum is 100 MiB per file and 200 MiB for a combined Download all request. For example, three 70 MiB videos total 210 MiB, so they exceed the combined limit even though each is below 100 MiB. Save eligible items individually instead.
Carousel download versus account archive
Download all applies to the items in the resolved result, not every post an account has ever published. For your own complete account archive, use Instagram’s account-data export and keep a separate copy of your original uploads. After any carousel download, open a photo and a video and verify the files before deleting your local source copies.
A three-item production example
On October 17, 2026, we checked one public carousel through resolve, preview, individual download and Download all. All three bulk file responses were valid JPEGs. Their encoded dimensions, read from the JPEG headers, were not identical. Compare the files you receive rather than assuming one size for every slide. This is one sample, not a universal carousel count or resolution.
