Public posts, Reels and carousels can be resolved when Instagram exposes the media to this service. Highlights are conditional. Profiles may fail because Instagram requires login; use an individual public post link instead. There is no full-account backup or scheduled monitoring.

Yes. DownSta is free to use. Ad serving is currently disabled.

Results expire after 15 minutes and download links after 30 minutes. Expiry limits access; it does not mean every stored byte is physically deleted at that instant. Anyone with an unexpired download link may use it, so do not share it.

The server processes your submitted link and temporarily stores media references and, when needed, media files for delivery. Hosting infrastructure processes connection data such as IP addresses for security and rate limits. The application does not maintain accounts or a download history; this does not mean no personal data is processed. Operational logs currently include compact references to submitted posts or accounts; invalid input may be logged in truncated form. Do not submit sensitive information. Log retention is managed by the hosting operator and is not established by the download-link expiry.

Only source variants actually returned. Choosing a higher video resolution does not guarantee better audio or restore a missing track. Only reuse video and music when you have the necessary rights.

A downloader can fail even when a post is public. Check the URL, access conditions, result expiry, file limits and rate limits. A login wall seen on one network does not prove that the account itself is private.

DownSta cannot download private, deleted, login-gated or age-restricted content. A public link does not override the account owner’s privacy choices. Do not give a downloader your Instagram credentials or session cookies.

DownSta does not ask visitors for Instagram credentials or require an app or extension. These are useful safeguards, but they do not guarantee that every download, device or use is risk-free. Read the limits and data handling before saving a file.

A failure does not prove the account is private. Public posts can also be unavailable from the service’s network, or fail because of rate limits, expired links or an Instagram change. Wait if rate-limited, copy the individual link again, and read the troubleshooting guide.
