Download Carousel Photos
Carousel posts can contain several photos, and each image may have different dimensions or processing characteristics. DownSta presents carousel items separately so you can inspect the sequence and save only the images you are authorized to keep.
If you need every item, the bulk download control can prepare the available carousel media individually. For a single image, downloading only the selected item can be faster and easier to organize than saving the whole carousel.
Photo Quality Depends on the Source
Instagram processes uploaded images for delivery, so the downloaded file may not be identical to the camera original. Cropping, compression, color changes, and removed metadata can occur before a photo is shown publicly. DownSta can only offer the variants that Instagram makes available for that post.
For editing or printing, choose the largest available variant and check its pixel dimensions after downloading. For messaging or quick reference, a smaller variant may be more convenient. There is no universal best choice because the right option depends on how you plan to use the photo.
Keep the Context With the Image
A photo file does not include the full post context. Captions, hashtags, comments, tagged accounts, and the original publication date remain on Instagram. If you are creating a personal reference archive, keep the original post URL and a short note with the downloaded image.

Why is a photo unavailable?
